Only donations by individuals to registered political parties of between $2 and $1,500 in a financial year may be tax deductible.
Under the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918, donations totalling more than $17,300 in the 2025-26 financial year from a single donor may be subject to public disclosure requirements administered by the Australian Electoral Commission.
Australian law prohibits the knowing receipt of donations from foreign donors. By proceeding, you confirm that:
- you are an Australian citizen, resident, enrolled voter, or an eligible New Zealand citizen;
- the donation is made using your own funds; and
- the donation is not made on behalf of a foreign donor.
Non-compliant donations will be declined.
There may be further requirements for disclosure by donors, details of which can be found at www.aec.gov.au.
